As a result of MoD budget cutbacks, we are forced to reduce the size of the force. Under C.R.A.P, older soldiers will go on early retirement, thus permitting the retention of lower paid soldiers who represent the Army's future.
A program to phase out older soldiers via retirement by the end of the current fiscal year will be placed in effect. The program will be known as Retire Active Personnel Early (R.A.P.E).

Soldiers who are R.A.P.E'd will be given the opportunity to seek civilian employment within the Army. To that end, R.A.P.E'd soldiers will be required to fill out numerous Forms (currently in the development, test, and evaluation stage) detailing their education and experience. This phase does not guarantee retired soldiers a civil service position; it does, however, guarantee that the soldier's unique capabilities will be considered before being bypassed in the hiring process.

This phase of C.R.A.P is known as Survey of Capabilities of Retired Warriors (S.C.R.E.W).
Soldiers who have been R.A.P.E'd and S.C.R.E.W'ed may request review of their situation by higher authority. This is the Study by Higher Authority Following Termination (S.H.A.F.T) phase.

C.R.A.P policy dictates that a soldier may be R.A.P.E'd once, S.C.R.E.W'ed twice, but may be S.H.A.F.T'ed as many times as the Army leadership deems appropriate.

If a soldier follows the above procedures, he or she will be entitled to get Half Earnings for Retired Personnel Early Severance (H.E.R.P.E.S). As H.E.R.P.E.S is considered a benefit payment, any soldier who gets H.E.R.P.E.S will no longer be R.A.P.E'd or S.C.R.E.W'ed by the Army.

The Army leadership wishes to assure younger soldiers who remain on active duty that the Army will continue its policy of ensuring that soldiers are well trained through our Special High Intensity Training (S.H.I.T) program. The Army takes pride in the amount of S.H.I.T our soldiers receive and can boast that it gives its soldiers more S.H.I.T than any other service.

If a soldier feels he or she does not get enough S.H.I.T, see your commander. Your commander is especially trained to make sure you receive all the S.H.I.T you can stand.

Right...i could probably get in trouble for this if it ever found its way into my bosses hands due to the fact ive had a number of warnings about spreading descent amongst the junior privates/signallers. I even got accused of "recruiting" young soldiers to my cause of hating the army, jesus do they think im trying to start a rebel army or something.

ok where do i fucking start. Overweight people? Arse Kissers? Females? Thieves? i know ill start from the top. Now this is not a rant about overweight people because people have a right to be how they want to be but in the army they have a moral obligation to stay fit for duty but it seems that doesnt happen, overweight people prosper while others fall by the wayside. The Basic Personal Fitness Assesment recently renamed the Personal Fitness Test consists of being able to achieve 44 pressups in 2 minutes, 50 sit ups in 2 minutes and a mile and a half run in 1030 for males. Now this is not hard or should not be hard for trained soldiers but people fail regularly. Some people lower themselves to feigning injury to avoid the testss some people have been on the "sick" for years and yet even though they are classed as unfit for duty they prosper being promoted while people who can pass stand and watch. The RPs (regimental police) at my barracks are all too unfit to pass a personal fitness test and are still given the authority of police which they abuse regularly. i dont mind getting a good shouting at or marched around as a punishment but to be punished by somebody who themselves cant even pass a BASIC fitness test is the most degrading thing that can happen to a soldier. These soldiers unfit for duty are not encouraged to get themselves fit because tax payers money pays for their physiotherapy when they become too heavy that their own knees cant support them and give way, they are promoted even though they can not carry out their jobs. It is a horrendous problem and will not get better anytime soon.

Arse kissers, now they are people not fit to lick the shit of my boots. they lower themselves to grassing up mates in order to improve their careers. im sure every workplace has them, they are what we all know as gobshite.

Females, now dont get me wrong i have no problem with females in the army and some are good mates but if they are taking home the same pay as us they should not be abusing the fact that they are female and all it takes from them is tears, eye lashes flashed or a large cleavege to get out of jobs while the lads get shit on to cover their arses too. SNCO, seargents and above regularly abuse their position of authority to get a female into the sack and the girls go for it thinking it will grant them immunity from shit jobs again leaving us lads with them.

Thieves, oh my god, there is no loyalty amongst theives. apparently there is also no loyalty between soldiers anymore. sub human scum, they steal from their comrades at first opertunity without remorse. Due to stricter rules than earlier armys we cant even give these scumbags a good kicking like we used to.

Bullies, yes it still happens in the army, people are regularly bullied by people inferior to themselves but who have the nerve to think them above everyone. i recently was punished for giving one such bully the kicking of his life, he got away scot free. its not my right to take the law into my own hands but you reap what you sow in my world and i wont stand by and let filth bully people.

immaturaty. The army is full of immature soldiers who have not lived outside of school or the army where they are sheltered from the real world. You often find that its the lads who were bought up in broken homes that are the most mature, they have been through life and have earned my respect and im fed up with immature little shits gobbing off with no respect for others. This is what results in squaddies having a bad reputation because of the way they treat people in the towns they visit. I am sometimes ashamed to admit to my job.

Dont get me wrong, i love the army and the opertunities it has given me to broaden my horizens but things have reached such a sad state of affairs when soldiers who love the army and have never commited any of the offences stated above are reduced to leaving like myself

mmm Friday i handed in my ID card. I felt free in some way. In other ways tho i felt alone tho and sad that i left the Army! Yer i know i was really really unhappy in the King's Troop but i know the rest of the army is different. Tho i been asking my self the Question am i doing the right thing? To be honest now i not sure! I feel i say that tho because i dont know where i am going and how or what etc.

Like in the army u have a map and u go to A to b to C etc but now it feels like i have to make a map before going A to B u know? I offen watch the news on TV about Iraq and other Operations and i have this feeling over 3 years i want to go operational. As in go a to Iraq etc. I have my limits tho as my leg not playing ball but i still feel i want too. If u ask me why well all u get is i dont know i just do. Its weird i know but man its weird.

I doing the HGV course and i think i doing well and getting better. It makes me worry tho am i going to pass if not then i have to look for another path. Am i going to make enough money etc. So much to worry about and i not sure i even taking the right path u know? I know its way to early to say its a mistake to sign off yet and i give it a year to see how i am doing. After all i can rejoin if it get really bad u know?

I am basicly saying i am scared what going to happen but hey i think i worry too much. I love Kate too but i do wounder me and Kate ever going to be together at the end? If so and i move to the states i hope my fittness goes really well by then. I am still interested in the state Police as it has alot of challenges. Which is what i need u know? Problem on my part tho is my grammer and spelling! Its shit! I know they need someone who can do tho things but i dont know i can get better on that skills tho.

I was watching Blood Dimoned today and it just got me thinking. Oh by the way its a great film too and i say watch it!

I going to see Kate after my course but i havent confirmed my dates yet when i am coming. This is the last vist that i can say i will be coming. Why? well once i am out out of the army i have to earn money and work hard. I dont mind that but i have more costs and more bills to pay. I have to save up for next trips. Less leave to go as often. In some was with my Money its not looking great. I may not be able to see Kate in the states for some time after this one. I be so focused on saving money and investing money!

So even tho i love Kate i think i have to work out on saving etc to make much money as possable. Find courses i can do to help make more etc. Greed? yes and be selfish in some ways. In the Army u can Invest more and not worry some much about the future like retirment. In civi street thats on my mind! so i need to save and invest to make sure i have a nice wallet at the end. Oh also if i stayed in i can do 22 years and have a not bad pension but this is 40 years now and more to work at! In some ways i look at it as a challenge but a worry that i dont fully understand in tho. So after my HGV course and i go to Kates i going to reasearch in Savings account and investments etc. I will Look into houses to invest but maybe in Spain or something. Only tho when i have a steady income i have a good look at it but who knows.

I going to stay with mum for 6- a year i hope but long if need be. Maxs my money making if i can and take over the world? who knows!

Anyhow i in at 12 2moro and i going to vist this yard and say hi can i help and ride etc on the weekends :P I only driving for 2 hours too. What am i going to do after my lesson? i dont have a clue! Anyhow i off to bed now and talk to Kate later!!

The Future

Well whats happening with me? Well I finshed with the BFPO now and back in work 2moro at the troop. I spoken a lot of people in the BFPO trade and it is a good trade. I spoken to privates to colonel. I pretty made up my mind about signing back on to the trade and well I was going to deal with that soon I get back to the troop. Then on the last day I spoken to the Colonel.

Now the Colonel and I been talking for an hour and he been telling me in detail about the trade  and asked me a few question like why u want to leave etc. I told him why but not too much like I bitching about it. I told him the skills I gained from the troop will help me a lot in this trade like people management and time management. They are important and also I showed leadership in there work place too and they were happy how I performed at there place.

 Well anyhow he spoken to me about all sort of the trade like sorting to paper work to driving the post to places to even more important stuff like confidential doc or report to places in the world. They Trade undermanned and under skilled atm. That is an advantage to me. Why because as I am been in for 7 year they will fast track me on courses which are known as B3 to B1. Soon I done B3 few weeks after I do B2 then some time after I do B1. Also there no fucking about in work over silly shit like I get in the troop. Its pretty much get in there and get the job done. Now that view I love and I do that my self.

I can get any posting in the world. Now I can also get sent to Iraq too and other fighting areas. They still go to front line to delivery the post still so there is risk. Thing is when I get B1 I should be a corporal and I could go to the USA for 3 years for posting. That be great but I think promotion will be good and I will gain shit loads of experience going operational and posted to other country too.

One problem is my fitness and my leg. Because of the troop lack of support I may not transfer over because I am P& and I need P3. So I got that problem! Also if I sign back on and the RLC turned me down I be so fecking pissed it be unreal. So I have to do a lot of talking to the Troop and give them the numbers of the other I spoken too and I hope I get transferred over with in a month but we see.

SO MY TARGET IS to make sure info right and see my chances of transfer and signing back on!

Kate I don’t think she happy because she wants me there but tuff I sorry due to the fax I have money issues too. So it take little long but when we get married some point and no we not engaged yet she can move with me to other places and be an experience for her too. 

SO 2moro I have a new boss and 8th of jan I have new CO! so lets see where it takes me! So I am back here for now so I keep posted. For now tho I going to carry on like I going to sign off until I know where I stand!
